Imagine a data base of athletes from all over the world representing all the different sports. You will have a data base of athletes with a search tool that allows you to search for athletes geographically by sport, position, height, weight, running speed, arm strength, stats and awards, along with SAT and ACT Scores--just to mention a few. You can put in the information for the athlete you are searching for and a data base of all the athletes that fit your needs will come up. As the database grows, this will greatly widen your search and you will have many more athletes to choose from. I've been approached by other companies that offer website promotion services for athletes. How is AllSportRating different? AllSportRating with the “Pelatan Formula” is able to numerically rate an athlete's performance so he can be objectively compared to other athletes in the same position anywhere in the world. The higher the rating is, the greater his value. This is similar to the Dow Jones Industrial's rating of businesses assets or Standard and Poor's ratings of insurance companies. Assessing athletes' abilities and performance is now so much easier with this rating. Because you are unable to visit all potential players in person, you need a formal, objective assessment of your entire athletic portfolio. The numerical rating provided by our company makes it very easy for you to determine an athlete's value and compare it to another prospective player. AllSportRating's service has eliminated the need to spend an inordinate amount of time and effort to assess the athlete's complete portfolio, which is a tremendous help to both you and the athlete. There are MANY elements that can go into the final rating. This varies with each sport. AllSportRating also provides athletes with a peer rating. The rating ranges from 1 to 6 stars and depends not only on their stats, but is also influenced directly by peer ratings. This further solidifies recognition of their abilities and performance. AllSportRating helps athletes increase their awareness by key people in the sports industry by providing them with a professional web site. The web site contains their rating, picture, photo gallery, 3 five minute videos, performance, trading cards, sponsor ad space, related accomplishments, and so much more. They can send the links of their web sites to coaches, schools, or to anyone for viewing. Also, coaches, agents, and others who subscribe to AllSportRating's database have access to their information. By bringing all the key people in the sports industry together in one location, athletes significantly increase their ability to be seen, recruited, offered, and signed by the organization that best matches their goals. The formulas were developed after years of study, calculation, testing, consultation with coaches, and continual refinement. AllSportRating was introduced to athletes five years ago and has been used repeatedly since that time to validate the accuracy of the formulas. Thousands of athletes in numerous countries around the world are currently registered with What information do the formulas take into consideration? Although the specific details of the formulas are proprietary, we can share the categories of information that go into the rating. They include: physical profile, age, position of the player, performance stats, accomplishments, awards, level of play (like league level, etc.), grade average, social behavior, and peer recognition. By applying all these criteria to the formula, the rating provides an excellent indication of overall value. While you are obviously looking for great athletes, we also understand you are looking for those whom you'd enjoy coaching, and those who can represent your athletic program in the best light. The rating makes it much quicker and easier for you to assess and rate prospective athletes. If I see an athlete I want to talk with, how can I contact him? If the athlete is under 18 years old, you will be able to access only his e-mail address. His regular mailing address or telephone number will not be divulged. If the athlete is at least 18 years old, you will have access to all his contact information supplied on his web site. You will be able to contact him directly to learn more about him and expedite the recruiting process. I'm a busy High School Coach. Validating the stats athletes submit will take time I don't have—it's like grading another test but without the answer key. What's the benefit/value to me? We realize you spend an inordinate amount of time performing coaching duties, and we offer you an incentive to help your athletes verify the accuracy of their numbers. We have other coach certifiers but you can register to be a coach certifier and be financially compensated for validating your athletes' stats. If you're interested in serving in this capacity, e-mail us at: contact@sportrating.com with your desire, and we will contact you about the details. As a Public School District Superintendent, I'm concerned there is already too much pressure to perform put on our athletes. Won't this just add more pressure? We at AllSportRating understand your concern and feel our system actually assists to reduce the pressure on athletes. First, the numerical rating allows an athlete to be judged objectively for his abilities and skills, and in doing so, levels the playing field for all athletes. No longer do athletes have more pressure to significantly outperform their peers in order to overcome subjective criteria that have historically prevented them from being noticed. Second, athletes can have their own professional state-of-the-art web site they can use to promote their athletic portfolios. This is provided to them as a part of our service and is offered at a fraction of the cost typically charged by other companies. This takes tremendous pressure off athletes to raise considerable money to keep up with the growing trend to promote themselves on the web. Third, we bring the key people in the sports industry together in one location, which makes the scouting process much more efficient and effective. Doing this increases an athlete's chance of being seen by more coaches, scouts, and agents, and makes it much easier for them to communicate with each other. Who exactly will the rating be compared to? Only other subscribers to the service? Those athletes who register with AllSportRating will be numerically rated. This rating is an absolute calculation, not a relative comparison dependent upon other's ratings. Their “number” can be objectively compared to those of other athletes who subscribe to the service. Athletes as young as 12 years old can be numerically rated with accuracy. Younger athletes can also sign up now and we are working on making the rating accurate for that age, as well. How does the “rating formula” balance & compare athletes from large, well funded and publicized conferences to those from smaller, rural conferences that have less competition and fewer talented opponents? The beauty of AllSportRating's system is that it removes subjective variables from the equation and allows athletes to be fairly and objectively assessed. Through the numerical rating, an athlete can be evaluated against others in his same position, regardless of where they play and who their opponents are. As a coach, I only have one athlete of scholarship quality. Why should I encourage others to enroll? Certainly, an athlete of scholarship quality should register with AllSportRating. They will want the opportunity to be seen and recruited by as many organizations as possible. However, there are many great athletes that go unnoticed because of restricted monetary resources and misunderstood scouting criteria. More than likely you do not know the exact profile of athlete an organization is looking for. Rather than presume an athlete doesn't merit consideration, register him with AllSportRating, give the organizations the chance to view his portfolio, and let them decide. As Wayne Gretsky, hockey great, said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.” In addition, we are awarding the NUMEROUS ASR AWARDS that athletes can win. There are $250, $500, $750, $1000…up to $2000 AWARDS that will be awarded. Think of how these awards could help more athletes so they can better play their sport. They can use the money for funding their sport activities when they are younger and use the funds for college when they are older. These funds could really help your athletes. As a coach, you understand the importance of goal setting to spur your athletes on to improve their performance. Even if their goals do not include being recruited, they can still use AllSportRating's system as a barometer by which to measure improvement in their athletic performance. Being able to watch their rating improve as a result of hard work and continued focus on building their skills is a great incentive to continue performance in their sport. |
